By creating a Twyne account or using the service, you agree to these terms. They are written in plain language — please read them.
Twyne is a private communication platform for two people — designed for couples who want a dedicated, intimate space for their relationship. It provides private messaging, Miss You pulses, shared tasks, voice and video calls, photo sharing, and the Layers relationship depth game.
Twyne is operated by Cantrel Tech, a global technology company. References to "we", "us", or "Cantrel Tech" in these terms mean Cantrel Tech. References to "you" mean the person using Twyne.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Twyne. By creating an account you confirm that you are 18 or older. If you are under 18, you may not use Twyne under any circumstances.
If we discover an account belongs to a minor, we will terminate it immediately and delete all associated data.
When you create a Twyne account, you are issued a unique invite code. This code is your login credential and your responsibility. Anyone with your code and PIN can access your account.
Each person may hold one account. Creating multiple accounts is prohibited.
Twyne is designed exclusively for two people. Each account may be connected to one partner at a time. You may unpair and re-pair with a different person, but you cannot maintain connections with multiple people simultaneously.
Both people must consent to being connected. Connecting to someone's account without their knowledge or against their will is a violation of these terms and may constitute harassment under applicable law.
Twyne is a private space for consensual, lawful communication between two adults. You agree not to use Twyne to:
Violation of these terms may result in immediate account suspension or termination without refund and, where required, reporting to the appropriate authorities.
You own the messages, photos, and other content you create on Twyne. By using Twyne, you grant Cantrel Tech a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, transmit, and display your content solely for the purpose of operating the service for you and your partner.
We do not claim ownership of your content. We do not read, analyse, or share your messages with any third party. Your conversations are private.
Twyne offers the following plans, available to users worldwide:
Prices are displayed in Nigerian Naira. Equivalent USD pricing is shown in the app. Users paying in other currencies will be charged the equivalent at the prevailing exchange rate by their payment provider.
Cantrel Tech reserves the right to change subscription pricing at any time with 30 days notice via the app.
All payments are processed by a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified global payment processor. Cantrel Tech never sees or stores your card details.
Subscriptions are billed monthly. Your plan activates immediately upon successful payment. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled.
Plan upgrades take effect immediately. If you downgrade, you retain your current plan's features until the end of the billing period.
We offer refunds in the following circumstances:
Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of the charge to cantreltech@gmail.com. We will respond within 5 business days.
We do not offer refunds for change of mind, failure to use the service, or relationship-related reasons.
We aim to provide Twyne continuously and without interruption. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Planned maintenance, technical issues, or events outside our reasonable control may cause temporary downtime. We will communicate planned downtime in advance where possible.
By you: You may delete your account at any time from within the app. All your data will be permanently and irreversibly erased. There is no grace period — deletion is immediate and final.
By us: We may suspend or terminate your account without prior notice if you violate these terms, engage in behaviour that harms other users or the platform, or if we are legally required to do so. In cases of serious violation (e.g. sharing illegal content), we will act immediately and may report the matter to law enforcement.
Twyne is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Cantrel Tech does not warrant that the service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Cantrel Tech will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use Twyne.
Our total cumulative liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of Twyne will not exceed the total amount you paid us in the 3 months immediately preceding the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
You agree to indemnify and hold Cantrel Tech, its directors, employees, and agents harmless from any claims, losses, or damages arising from your violation of these terms, your misuse of the platform, or your infringement of any third-party rights.
The Twyne name, logo, visual design, product features, and underlying code are owned by or licensed to Cantrel Tech and protected by intellectual property laws worldwide. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of Twyne without our prior written consent.
Cantrel Tech is a platform provider and is not a party to the relationship between connected users. We are not responsible for the quality, nature, outcome, or consequences of any relationship facilitated through Twyne. Twyne is not a matchmaking, dating, or counselling service.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict of law principles. However, if you are a consumer in the European Union, United Kingdom, or any other jurisdiction that grants mandatory consumer rights, those rights are not affected by this clause.
We encourage you to contact us first at cantreltech@gmail.com to resolve any dispute informally before pursuing formal legal action.
We may update these terms from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you via the app at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of Twyne after that date constitutes your acceptance of the new terms. If you do not agree to the updated terms, you may delete your account before the effective date.
These Terms of Use, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Cantrel Tech regarding Twyne and supersede all prior agreements or understandings.
